Lynette is a strong believer in serving and being active in the community. As she puts it, "One tremendous way to extend your relationship networks, find mentors, and bring new levels of fulfillment in your personal and professional life is to find a cause you believe in and then get active with that organization and its board. Some of the most rewarding seasons of my life, and the most strategic, were those when I was active with one or two organizations, meeting new people outside my job, broadening my education through this service, and earning more influence as a community leader and professional woman, all at the same time! You meet the most amazing people through community activism, and often shorten the reach to people of significant influence -- people you could not meet through work but who you can serve alongside as a volunteer. Community service is not only good for your soul, it's great for the resume. Many organizations will even allow work hours for certain community service projects. So find something that ignites your passion and then serve that cause however you can. It will bring a deeper satisfaction than work alone can ever bring!"
Lynette has served on numerous boards as President and in leadership roles that have earned her awards and recognition, most notably by the National Association of Community Leadership. Currently, Lynette serves on the Board of Directors for Strategic Global Initiatives (SGI) and the Board of Trustees for her alma mater, Oral Roberts University.
