There are no adequate words, only prayers… for t

There are no adequate words, only prayers… for the families dealing with unspeakable grief and trauma, for the school and other families who witnessed these horrors or are extended family of those that were lost. Prayers for our nation and so many needed actions, that God might have mercy on us, and lead us to healing and solutions. The Lord is near to the broken-hearted. He was himself a man of suffering, familiar with grief. 🥲🙏🏻

22 years ago right about now, this man put togethe

22 years ago right about now, this man put together a wonderful transfer package from Tulsa to the New York City offices @deloitte. He started as my boss and became a great mentor and friend.

Our friendship has grown through years of working together and many Central Park runs. @wienmike and his wonderful wife Nannette inspire @pastorronlewis and I both.

I love how God crosses our paths with appointed people who he uses to direct our lives and fulfill our dreams!

A year before this transfer opportunity, I was at one of the lowest most discouraging points in my career figuring my New York City dreams were nothing but a crazy notion. One year later everything looked vastly different.

Don't ever be discouraged by what seems slow which is really right on time!

Happy Mother’s Day friends…the rain stopped lo

Happy Mother’s Day friends…the rain stopped long enough to grab a pic on the way to church. It was a full and sweet day, meeting new families, praying with many as lots of dynamics rise to the surface in hearts. Thankful that the anointing was tangible and real in our midst @everynationnyc. Grateful for a journey of motherhood different than what I thought, BETTER than what I imagined.

My message included lots of rich scriptures that have been my lifeline for years, and a quote from @annvoskamp new book Waymaker (a must-read), she says…

“Pain will come, but name it a mystery, and find manna in it, and taste bits of miracle even in what you can hardly stand and don’t understand.”

Three mothers of the faith, Sarah, Rebekah, and Rachel had years of barrenness. I did too, but the Lord told me in no uncertain terms that I was NOT to call myself barren, and instead say, “I’m Expecting.” It was a statement of faith for years, and yet God brought fruitfulness in unexpected ways. I’m still expecting….more miracles and more of Him. #grateful
