Today we enter yet another juncture in our family journey. We will head to OK City where Jordan will have new scans this afternoon, and depending on the outcome, head into two more surgeries tomorrow and Friday. We continue to believe for miracles.
So grateful for every text, call, and note which keep pouring in. Thank you for caring! And while it’s a challenge to respond to every inquiry, we encourage you to check updates on Facebook and on JordanandCadyLewis.wordpress.com. Over 90,000 visits to their blog, amazing the outpouring of love from around the world!
Speaking of love, here is the passage I’m focusing on this morning, taken from the Message translation of the Bible, so fitting for our precious son and daughter, and true of our God. Perhaps it will encourage you in whatever challenges you face at work, home, in relationships, and beyond.
God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,
his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.
They’re created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!
I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over).
He’s all I’ve got left.
God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,
to the woman who diligently seeks.
It’s a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
It’s a good thing when you’re young
to stick it out through the hard times.
When life is heavy and hard to take,
go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don’t ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don’t run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The “worst” is never the worst.
Why? Because the Master won’t ever
walk out and fail to return.
