Ron and I recently attended a private screening of a new mini series called The Bible, produced by actress Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel) and her husband producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice, Celebrity Apprentice).
To say we were “blown away” is an understatement. This series, airing on the History Channel on Sunday evenings for the five weeks leading up to Easter, 2013, is one of the most riveting, true-to-scripture accounts of The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. The acting is superb, the scenery magnificent (mostly filmed in Morocco), and the stories come to life like no other production before.
Roma and Mark are delightful down-to-earth people. Hearing their story of how this series came to be brought us to tears. We saw two hours of the content and cannot wait to see every episode. We’re also planning ways to pull in our churches for special Sunday night viewings.
Roma shares mores of her story in the latest issue of WHOA magazine. Speaking of WHOA, I’m a regular contributor and highly recommend this wonderful magazine as a gift for special ladies on your Christmas list, click on this link to subscribe, or gift a subscription to a friend!
